The front cover is a hand drawn and illustrated tile mosaic. It was inspired by the content of the book, which speaks about love being like a mosaic, "where the big picture is made up of little pieces; that is, a loving act is made up of many different thoughts and actions.... we can identify many individual aspects of love (kindness, patience, etc.), they all fit together as agapé love—the ultimate description of Christ." The study looks "at many of the individual pieces that make up the character of Christ."
